@FayeGibson22 I've tried several masks and finally gave up on them all. I just got a prescription for a Bongo Rx, a nasal device that doesn't have tubes or a machine. You can check it out at: https://airavant.com/how-does-bongo-rx-work.

Thanks Helsal I sure will try that web site 😀

Please don't give up!!
The thing I remember most is my surprise to learn the time it takes to get used to wearing the mask. Nobody told me this was an issue until I suffered for weeks on end having a mask on my face while trying to sleep.
Please stick with it, you will find the restful sleep you have been missing I promise. I slept 8 hours last night before getting used to my cpap this had not happened for decades
Good luck and sweet dreams.

I am new to all this!! I have not been successful wearing a full mask. There tends to be a air leak. I have ordered a new mask just for the nose! I too do notice the mask. I have struggled with the lawyer covid mask mandate.

@Courtney_J hi Courtney. I am new to this forum. I want to ask questions about inspire. How do I do that so it goes to the proper members who may have helpful information. Thank you!

@Allinitsleep Check out the DreamWeaver mask. It is more comfortable and has the connection input on the top of the wearer's head. I sometimes seem to hyperventilate because I am not in sync with the machine. At those times I remove the mask until my breathing returns to normal and then start again. My CPAP has been a live saver for me. I will never give it up.

Let me tell you I am now just past a half year of trying to get used to wearing a C-Pap mask and I am still removing it at times while asleep. I have replaced the mask when I should and still it leaks at times from being stretched and I am no further along. It's really frustrating trying to sleep with a mask covering your mouth and face. My top level is 12 and that is only when I am asleep. I tell myself I don't have any choice and force myself to wear it but I am not happy about it.

@jesvideo good message.
I had so much trouble adjusting to the cpap.
Nobody tells you about that part! I will say that once I got used to it, I felt incredible! Sleeping for 8+ hours was a dream come true. It was literally months later but I looked back all the headaches gone! Stiff neck gone please please stick with it, it will get better!
Good luck, Guy

@FayeGibson22 It feels so freaky at first. If you can get used to it, your health and mood will change. You will have more energy, when you are getting enough oxygen at night. It will be transormative. I had to alter my mask a little to be comfortable. I had to get a small nose only mask. Nasal pillows and big masks drive me crazy. Wishing you the best.

It's hard living with sleep apnea especially when it's going to be with you for the rest of your life. Knowing that every night you have to out that mask on your face and it's suppose to help but to me it only suffacates me .I wear it but I hate it there is a chance that if I don't wear it I'll forget to breath and die which scares me alot. I still wear it .my life depends on it. I get reminded all the time from my family mom don't forget to use your machine .they are scared for my life.unfortubately thats the price of having something you can't control.ive give up my machine 2 or 3 times cause of the mask and I'm not qualified for anything else so I keep getting the mask .I will never get use to it and hate it no matter what sleep apnea really sucks
