Hello everyone, it's nice to hear from you all. How are you doing today? Are you social distancing and staying home? If you haven't already seen, we just published an article summarizing the results of our COVID-19 survey measuring the impact of the pandemic on people with chronic illnesses. It looks like our type 2 diabetes patients have been pretty affected by what's going on. I'll link the article here:
COVID-19 and Chronic Illness: Patients Sound the Alarm
Feel free to read through the article and share you thoughts with us! Have you experienced some of the same problems?
The survey is still ongoing, if you haven't had a chance to take it yet, you still can! Here it is: Carenity Survey: Impact of COVID-19 on patients living with chronic disease
Take care,
Courtney

I am type 2 diabetes and I work at a grocery store. I have been home for 3 weeks trying to avoid this virus, but I can't continue to not go to work. My store recently had a case while I was out and that person is in ICU and they have removed others that were in direct contact. I want to return to work and wear a mask and try to go in early before we open to stock. I want to try and avoid as many people as possible. My husband does not want me to return to work. He wants me to get another job, but about the only jobs out there are warehouses and maybe food places. Maybe convenience stores. I don't want those job . I love my job.

Good Morning Everyone,
I am a type 2 diabetic and have anxiety and depression. I have spent the last two mornings in tears. I am just so lonely. I live by myself, well just me and my cat. I would just love someone here to talk to and to give ma a hug. I miss my friends, I miss going out for coffee, I miss going to church, I just miss everything. I hate what we are going through. I am so scared of the future and what is going to happen to me. I just want to run outside and hug everyone I see. Is there anyone else that is really having a hard time with all of this? Have a good day and stay safe!

Hello everyone,
Since the Coronavirus pandemic concerns many Americans (and Carenity members too), I've created this discussion to allow you to talk specifically about the virus in the context of Type 2 diabetes, as we all know that people with underlying health conditions can be more affected.
Are you worried about the coronavirus? Have you received any special instructions from your doctor regarding your care? Are you going to limit your travel? Do you have any advice for others?
Take care,
Courtney
