Hi, I get where you're coming from, I have generalized anxiety and depression. I'm surprisingly doing a bit better than I thought I would because a lot of times my depression is born out of loneliness. Normally my partner travels all the time for work, but lately he's been working from home so he's been around, which is great. My anxiety is still there though, I can't help but stress about one of us getting infected and I'm worried about the economy and the future of my and my partner's jobs... It's easy for my mind to spin off into all of that.
What really helps me usually is forcing myself to get out of the house and into the sun a bit. I knjow that now we're not really supposed to go out, so I spend at least an hour a day on our back patio soaking in the rays. It really does me some good to get out into fresh air. Journaling has been really helpful for me too because I get all my scrambled thoughts down on paper and I can really break them apart and see where I'm being irrational.
If you ever need to talk, I'm here!

@twomes @whatistheissue Hello, thank you for starting this discussion. In these stressful times it is really important that we take care of our mental health. If you haven't already seen it, we just published an article focusing on the coronavirus and mental health. We tried to bring together some good advice to help those of us with mental illnesses make the best of a difficult situation with solid coping methods and resources. I'll link it here:

@lantia626 I've been struggling too. I fluctuate between positive days where enjoying the little things makes me happy and and negative days where I have a hard time getting out of bed because of my anxiety and just pure fatigue because I can't get my anxious brain to be quite at night.

I used to go to a yoga studio and the gym every day and that helped my mood tremendously. Now they are both closed. I live alone so I feel depressed and isolated. Nighttime is the worst for me.

Hi, I haven't been on here in a bit, but I've been struggling lately with all of this. I struggle with bipolar disorder and anxiety. I'm hoping to share with you all and ask you how you're doing during this lockdown and the coronavirus situation in general?
To tell the truth, it has really not been easy to cope with everything that is happening. I've had ups and downs, and being isolated from my family has at times caused me a lot of stress. I am very afraid that someone close to me will get infected, I have a constant uncertainty and with the long days that sometimes pass very slowly and give me a lot of time (probably too much time) to think.
I think it helps me a lot to talk about things and exteriorize my feelings - it helps me realize when my fears are irrational and that this, as everything in life, will pass.
Hopefully this will help some others too, please feel free to share how you are doing too! I could really use a friend right now. What are you doing to pass the time and ease your anxieties?
Stay safe!
