Sleep apnea surgery, have you gotten it?

Thank you for getting this discussion started. Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) surgery is preformed for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. This surgery is typically as a last resort and is only for cases where sleep apnea is caused by anatomic features that can be remedied through surgery. Talk with you doctor to see if you are a candidate. source

Do you have sleep apnea caused by obstruction? Have you gotten the UPPP surgery? Has it helped your sleep apnea? How was the recovery? Would you recommend it?
