I thought it was a crock. Yet the first week i was on a CPAP, I got good nights sleep, started dreaming again, and this was weird -- Colors were brighter. in my estimation. I now call my CPAP my second level wife, because i always sleep with it.

I did a sleep study and came back positive for very minor sleep apnea, and spent over a year using a CPAP with no positive result. Turns out I have mythenia gravis ocular with signs of General which seems to be responsible for the fatigue issues I was having. So for the last year that's what I've been dealing with and so far I've had poor results from the treatments I've received.

I always say I took to cpap like a duck to water my very first night I woke more rested than I had in years i had some experience with SCBA from firefighting and Hazmat response so the process was less stressful for me I suspect but it did take awhile and some trial and error to find a mask type that prevented leakage and was more effective that was over 12 years ago I progressed through cpap-bipap-ASV machines due to central apnea issues I now have many nights with zero events rarely do I have more than 5 events I have friends who died from heart complications due to enlarged hearts from untreated sleep apnea much like high blood pressure sleep apnea is a silent killer so if you have severe sleep apnea you owe it to yourself and your family to succeed at using a cpap

Hi everyone 👋 How are you sleeping these days?
If you've been prescribed a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine, you probably remember that very first night, the mask, the noise, the strangeness of it all. But over time, many people say they finally experienced deep, restful sleep, sometimes for the first time in years.
😴 What was your first experience like?

Whether it’s been smooth sailing or a bit of a bumpy ride, your story might help others in the community who are just starting their CPAP journey.
