I have recently been diagnosed with OSA and have been prescribed CPAP. I have a high deductible healthcare plan. If I pay out of pocket the price for a Resmed airsense 10 is $1900 including service or the insurance company wants me to rent one for $238 per month for one year (not sure of the allowed amount set by insurance). Is $1900 a decent price with service? What is normal when paying out of pocket? To rent or to buy? Thanks for any help.

I didnt pay out of pocket.  Look into a preowned machine.  I had to upgrade to a bipass after a year.  Some folks hate these things and quit.  I was concerned for my health and stuck w it.  Do research online and good luck.

My insurance covered the majority of my machine, I pay a monthly amount for ten months to rent the machine, after that, I own it.
