Hello johan89, thank you for opening this discussion. Let me tag some other members who can possibly share with you.
Hi everyone, for those of you who have been on or are currently on Ocrevus (ocrelizumab), can you share a bit about side effects? Did you experience any? How long did it take for them to go away? Has it helped your MS?

I have been on Ocrevus since 4 months after it received FDA approval for treatment. The first dose (1/2 dose) I had an allergic reaction that caused swelling in my throat. The nurse administered an antihistamine and had me have a quart of water, observed me for 30 minutes and continued the infusion. l highly recommend the medication, and have not had any reactions after the initial 1/2 dose.

My neurologist decided to take me off of the Okrevus due to some abnormalities in my lab work. And she mentioned my age could be an issue. For goodness sake I'm only 56. I did experience One flare in the past 3 weeks got my Solu-medrol treatments 1 Gm/ day X3 days.

I have been on ocrevus for 5 years, I look forward to the infusions as I have a group of people that I get to visit with. We all schedule our infusions on the same day to catch up and have some fun. Join us at Dr. Gitt's office, he is a great neurologist and has managed to keep me free from any flare ups. Going in for an infusion once every 6 months is so much better than the injections I was taking, breaking my skin down.
I have not had any problems at all with the infusion, one of the gals says she gets a headache afterwards and it goes away.
I love it!!!!
