Did you know that yoga may improve and ease breathing for asthmatics?
In a published research article, clinicians found that yoga had beneficial clinical effects for asthmatics. According to the study, yoga "resulted in a decreased number of day and night attacks and use of drugs. It also show[ed] significant improvement in the peak expiratory flow rate." Additionally, a recent Cochrane Review "suggests that yoga may have a beneficial effect on symptoms and quality of life in people with asthma..."
Do you have experience with yoga? Do or did you notice any benefits with breathing? What about with stress, which can also impact breathing?
