Hello members,

The two common inhalers to treat asthma contain the active ingredient Albuterol or Levalbuterol, which are bronchodilators used to prevent and treat wheezing and shortness of breath caused by breathing problems.

Albuterol common brand names are Proair HFA, Proventil HFA, and Ventolin HFA.

Levalbuterol common brand name is Xopenex HFA.

Have you tried either of these medications? Has it helped? Any side effects?

Have you had to switch from to the other? Did one help better than the other?
