Hello Carenity Members,

I have seen in thedepression forums that there are many posts about people needing someone to talk to/listen to and feeling of overwhelemed with life or facing depression for various reason

I have created this discussion group and PINNED it so that it will remain at the top for people to do several things:

1) Those needing someone to talk to, can briefly state what they are struggling with - their situation - and that they would like to talk with someone.

2) Those who would like to listen/talk to someone else, can then private message that user directly and begin a conversation.

or

3) Those who have either overcome their depression to an extent or just really want to help and listen can also comment and say just that - basically offering themselves to be contacted.

I hope this helps open the communication and organize the forum as well. I think peer support is essential, especialy when in our own lives, perhaps we feel blocked out.

As always, there is the general forum for any and all other discussions.

If situation is very bad, please know your life is important and reach out to a medical professional or call Crisis Hotline at 1-800-273-8255

Thank you,

Lee__R

Hi I'm new but can't get anyone to listen to me anywhere..... I just recently got out of a but house for trying to kill myself and almost dying. I just recently lost rights to my son for being in jail and haven't seen my daughter in three years. I moved away from the only place I have known for years for the man of my dreams! At least I thought things started great then we both got strung out.  We started fighting everyday. Even though we fight I still do any and everything he asks me anytime!! Sad part is he is the only person I have now in my life ! My parents have never really been there and the rest of my family either. I got out of the hospital and everything was great till he started hiding him getting high from me ! I'm trying to help him but I'm losing myself more and more ! I dont know what to do the thought of leaving him kills me inside! Makes it worse that now we are living with his ex,and her parents ! So now he treats her like they are dating and me like I'm the trash on the side. I'm literally breaking inside and I'm not sure what to do I have never cared this much about someone.

Hello everyone

I am having an issue and I need someone to talk to.  I have bipolar disorder and severe depression with an overthinking disorder.   I am at the end of a divorce in which he was verbally abusive.  I’ve since then found someone that has been completely wonderful but since my marriage my overthinking has gotten much worse.  My exhusband cheated on me throughout the marriage so now I’m convinced it’s going to happen again.  My overthinking is just horrible and I really need someone to talk to.

It sucks to not be diagnosed with depression or anything because that means I’ve never told anyone about how I feel. I never show my feeling to anyone but more recently I can’t hide it. People say it will get better but I’m not sure if that true because whenever you feel a little better later you feel worse than you did before and you get so overwhelmed and it feels like you can’t live another second.

@naydita you’ve just described everything I’ve been experiencing with myself in a nutshell. I can feel I’m losing sight of the real me underneath all this chaos. Only difference is I’ve never been married. I lost the person I love because I couldn’t figure out how to get myself together. That’s why I’m here.
