@XGraceX I have 3 sons as well. My oldest son is a good listener. But I don't like to bother him and be a burden. My husband is totally burned out. But I have a resistant depression and I don't know who else to talk to about it.

@Michelle This definitely is a good place to start. I don't really like talking to my son either but sometimes it's either that or the hospital. He really helps and says he doesn't mind.
It sucks my husband is so unresponsive to my feelings. Sometimes his attitude toward makes it even worse. He loves me but he can be a shit.

Depression is a silent killer in my book. To begin with you don't know you have it til it jerks your chain sort of speak. Its like an addiction - you don't see what it is doing til its to late.

Are you a Dr? I've been dealing with therapists, hospitals and major depression, bipolar, anxiety, PTSD . So I think I qualify to say what my life has been like but if you want to troll I'll report you. This might be the only place where people can talk and you're trolling.

Unregistered member: I agree with you. It is a silent killer. You don't know you have it at first and that's scary.

@XGraceX you mean you can't tell if you're becoming manic? Do you have lows or highs at first?

No I know I have bipolar now but before I had it it was a silent killer. It was killing me without me knowing how bad it was. Luckily I'm on medication now so I can regulate it and not have such high's and low's beause it was "killing" me before I knew. That's all I meant.

@XGraceX yea I feel that. I've even became highly manic on meds but I knew it was coming. The depression I can watch it gradually hit but by the time I'm deep in it I need to be hospitalized to get stabilized. It's actually been more this late in the game but I've grinded through life. Thank you for being you.

@Rosebgyrl, I understand myself. Been diagnosed with major depression many years ago! I've taken countless meds, had ECT, about to try TMS. Hoping some relief. Not everything works for everyone. My MD said I'm on list for TMS. Think it'll start about time I get Really depressed, Fall. Also, am scheduled for neuropsych testing in Nov. but am on waiting list to have it any sooner. There is dementia in family & I'm next generation to get it. Forgetting a lot, to say the least. Worried! I'm in this fight with u!!

This forum is incredibly helpful. To combat depression, simply schedule a session with a therapist. If the medicine isn't working, consider spravato treatment.
