This forum is incredibly helpful. To combat depression, simply schedule a session with a therapist. If the medicine isn't working, consider spravato treatment.

@Tleigh I'm sorry you've gone through so much. That's a lot for someone to go through. I'm happy you're in therapy now even if it's on and off. You are still getting that help. I do the same thing. I go in and out. I think I'm doing better then I'm not. I also worry about what others think about me. I don't think I'll ever get over that.

Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you.

@Truint40 I have found forcing my self outside and therapy really talking about what's going on make's me get through the day but lonelness is harder then I expected

@Michelle I'm learning to just force my a$$ outside when ever I can even if I walk down the street and therapy never knew how much therapy helps conserding I've been in therapy since I was 13im going on 44

@JeniferSchwab getting outside does help. I have been in therapy on and off for 30 years. I don't think it has helped the depression very much. I've also tried many medications, TMS, ketamine, ECT and still struggling. I often wonder how much longer I can go on like this.

@Michelle I toldally understand I have major deppersion and on top of it PTSD a family of suicide I should of been diagnosed when I was 5 however not until 13 when I wanted to end it but I then lost my Grandpa my step dad of 17 years raised 6 kid's that were not his bless his soul my brother just four year's ago so I know about deppersion human as we all are every one has experience it mostly with this covid its made the strong one feel it however that doesn't help us I'm truly sorry for your simdoms do try doing something nice like eat some ice cream go for a lil stroll if you don't live in Colo were it's snowing this morning

Living with major depression is really hard for me, like it is for many of us in here. I don't think, when in it, I'll ever recover from it. But I always do. It's such a dark lonely place to be. There's no scratching or clawing your way out of it.

When like this, I don't have my husband to talk to. He get's mad. Saying "We are doing good. Why are you depressed now!!". I have 3 sons I have only one son that will listen to me and talk to me about it. That feels good. It makes me feel someone cares.

That's why I joined this group and the others I belong too. I want to connect with people that understand what I go through and can relate.
