@EvaVeni Hi Eva, thank you for opening this discussion and sharing what you've been going through. I'm sorry to hear you've had those side effects. Have you had a chance to talk to your doctor about what you've been going through and feeling? Let me tag some other members who may have experience with these chemo drugs.
Hi everyone, how are you doing? Have you been on abemaciclib and/or fulvestrant as part of your breast cancer treatment? Did you have side effects like what Eva has been experiencing?

I haven't been. I am on Anastrozole. I had radiation treatments a long time ago.

Hi my name is Robbi and I am 72 years old. I was first diagnosed with lobular Breast cancer in November 2017 and had a lumpectomy on January 2018. I was taking Anastrozole. Then in October 2020 the cancer returned as stage 2. I had another lumpectomy and chemo and 20 radiation sessions. I started on exemestane with horrible side effects. I don’t know what is next. I only know chemo didn’t work and the drug didn’t work and I feel like there is a black cloud over my head.

Breast Cancer: “You don’t have to fit into anyone’s idea of what a woman should be”
EvaVeni
Hi, everyone. My name is Eva. I was diagnosed with Stage Four, ER + breast cancer with bone mets in November of 2012
I wasnput on Letrozole, hydromorphone and fentanyl patches from the beginning. In May of this year, I had a PET scan and an MRI of my total spine. It showed I had new progression in other places in my spine, pelvic area, left shoulder blade and now, in the base of my skull. (That is really freaking me out.) My Oncologist changed my meds to Verzenio twice a day and Fulvestrant injections once a month. Since being on this new regimen, I'm extremely exhausted all of the time and I sleep A LOT. I started getting ice pick headaches over the last week and the past couple of days have been bad. Has anyone experienced this while being on Verzenio/Fulvestrant? Or does anyone think the mets in the base of my skull is moving up into my brain?
I really need to talk to someone... I'm freaking out here. I don't know if this is something I should be worried about or if it's nothing.
I hope someone reaches out because I need a friend who understands what I'm going through. Thank you!
