OMG! You all are talking about what my crazy life is! I didnt know this was what bipolar is. I am defitely! Lonely to tears one minute or one month, crazy fun and social the next day or minte. The depressive times can be anywhere from hours to months. The highs, a few hours to weeks. Uncontrolled, fun, and risky. I love the highs and fear the lows. Since the onset of the pandemic, frequent panick attacks. Had to quit my job! Called it an opportunity. Now I have resigned to a partner who is controlling and possessive so that some control will be had. Someone to lead. Dont know if its right but Ive been out of control so long Im willing to take the chance for some stability.

I was diagnosed with bipolar II about 10 years ago. After multiple inpatient treatment centers as well as 30 different medications to get my moods stable, I have hit rock bottom again. My friends, family and co-workers do not understand the disease. I am surrounded by people daily and still feel alone and empty. I haven't been out of bed in 2 days, all I do is cry, I'm angry for no reason. Does anyone else feel this way?

I am severe bipolar and suffer from anxiety. I can't say that I feel lonely. I have friends at work to talk to and I have a great support system. I have friends and family that I can call to talk to. You just have to reach out to people. You have to make the effort.

Yeah. I’m not alone, but I am lonely. I can only interact with friends and coworkers when I’m not depressed. I have bipolar2 so I don’t really get full-fledged manic; rather, I just get above melancholy which feels great to me. Even with meds, anxiety and depression suck.

@Jenny0808 Oh Jenny I'm so sorry you feel this way! I can really connect with what you've said you've been through. I too have been on many medications and know the feeling of hopelessness and feeling alone with this disease. I'm going to try transcranial magnetic stimulation which is used for people who've failed at least 4 anti-depressants. It may be something worth looking in to you too. Don't give up hope (hang on pain eases) Take care, Laura.

Hi friends from a country far away I would like to ask people who suffer from bipolar disorder how they succeed in bearing loneliness, that, unfortunately, is a characteristic of our disease. Thank you
