Hi everyone, how are you doing today? 😊

Bladder dysfunction is a common but often overlooked symptom of multiple sclerosis (MS), affecting up to 80% of people with MS. It can cause symptoms like frequent urination, urgency, incontinence, and difficulty emptying the bladder, all of which can impact daily life and confidence.

❓ Have you experienced bladder issues due to MS?

❓ What strategies or treatments have helped you manage these symptoms?

❓ How do you handle bladder challenges when out and about?

Many of these symptoms can be treated, so if you’re struggling, it may be worth discussing with your healthcare provider. Let’s share experiences and tips to help each other!

Looking forward to your thoughts,

Somya from the Carenity team 🌼

Have you experienced bladder issues due to MS?

Yes, early on in my MS journey I was wetting myself not realizing i needed to use the restroom.

What strategies or treatments have helped you manage these symptoms?

I have learned to control the by limiting liquids at certain times of the day and knowing where a restroom is, wherever i go.

How do you handle bladder challenges when out and about? limiting liquid intake and locating restrooms upon arriving.

My neurologist had also prescribed me medications to empty my bladder and limit the urgency of urination.

I was getting continuous UTI's so my Dr's decided I should get a a super public catheter put in. I had the surgery and had it put in. It has helped with so many issues, I'm glad I had it done.

Any questions let me know.
