This really blows, being a truck driver I am still expected to keep moving, I dont mind that, I rather drive and make money than to sit.

I am in Bethlehem  PA at one of our yards, I made a delivery 10 days ago in Allentown PA,  and my truck started to mess up, it started to shut down on me in the middle of the road. I talked to breakdown and was told to come here to get my truck looked at and fixed.

So they looked at my truck, and said yes it had problems, and needed services, and it sounded like a quick fix. Well the next day the shop was closed, and the next day only 2 mechanics came into work.

I am out of another terminal,  and before a tornado hit our terminal,  the drivers had showers, and separate restrooms. But here there are no showers.  I got a room one night at a motel so I could take a shower, and the next day I went to walmart.  And I bought a camp toliet,  and a camp shower. And I figured out a way to have warm water when I took a shower in my truck.

Last night , I got another room so I could go and wash clothes, right now all I get paid is $ 35.00 a day for break down pay, and it's getting to me I am used to driving 650 miles aday.

I am taking the time putting  in more applications at different companies,  and I hope each day I can get  home so I can turn my truck in, and go someplace else. Well there is not alot I can do , except watch movies on my phone and work on my hobby, I do street magic. But that's hard to do if I have to stand 6 feet away from someone.

@Blueone81 hi I'm new on her . I've had a very rough 2 years first dealing with severe depression anxiety and PTSD, then having my disability (ehlers danlos Syndrome) become worse and worse. Then I got poisoned by a med my doctor put me on (medical neglect) I was paralyed, having seizures and heart issues, vomiting a ton, in the worst pain of my life 4 months! I had to move away from my home with my partner to live with my parents again and get different/better medical care. Finally I'm not housebound anymore due to my disability and now I cant leave without risking getting covid and nothing fun is open! I'm isolated because I've hardly seen any friends the last 2 years (I've had more ER visits than social events) and now I am having issues with anxiety and depression again. I am better physically but struggling mentally. I have multiple chronic conditions and finally got them under control and I just want to live my life! I'm 20 and cant do what I love the most, school :(

I have a 70 y.o. diabetic who is predisposed to pneumonia. I have a 23 y.o. son who is predisposed to pneumonia. Both of whom are Autistic and do not fully get the full reach and how damaging this virus can be. I also have diabetes. My bf has an auto-immune disease. I have a brother that has to work everyday at a job that does not believe in prevention until someone get's ill from the virus. I live in fear daily that my brother will bring it home with him. My Step-Mother's brother, wife, daughter, and son all just came home from the hospital last Tuesday. They managed to survive. (Gracias a Dios!)

Hello. I am new to the group. I am a divorced single mother of three beautiful children. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and was sexually abused as a child. I have suffered from depression since I was a teenager. This coronavirus has increased my anxiety as I am sure it has the rest of you all. I finally cried last night and have been  drained all day today. How are you all handling your depression during this?

@Green2001 I’ve found that now is a great time to maybe start dealing with those past hurts.

Ive started righting down everything that hurt as a child and now forgiving those who wronged me, and forgiving my myself as well.

@Jujubeaner  Sorry to hear. I wish a had a husband at work that could come home to me. He passed away 3 1/2 years ago. Little family that lives far away to begin with. I have two little dogs that are my companions and comfort. Bad enough to be alone, but alone in this deadly epidemic is worse. Talk about depressed.

@adamputman1962‍  I was homeless for a period of 8 months previously. I remember my "Showers" consisted of locking the bathroom door at Burger King and washing my hair in the sink and a quick "sponge bath" with a wash cloth. I would use the hand blow dryers to dry my hair quickly (as much as I could) because I was so embarrassed when I left with wet hair and I came in with it dry.  Congrats on getting warm water into your truck. Why won't the company you work for not pay for a hotel given the situation with COVID-19?
