Hello @Blueone81‍, thank you for starting this discussion. I think the coronavirus pandemic is a major source of stress and anxiety for many, especially since many states or cities have issued stay-at-home orders. It's really important that we come together as a community to support each other during this difficult time.

The CDC has listed a few things that can help you cope with the stress of this situation:

  • Take a break from following the news cycle, be it from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, on and offline.
  • Take care of your body and mind - practice taking deep breaths, stretching, or meditating. Make an effort to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, to get regular exercise, to get sufficient sleep, and to avoid alcohol and drugs.
  • Make time for yourself to relax. Take time to do the things you enjoy, be it a hobby or some other enjoyable activity.
  • Keep in touch with others. Talk (in person or remotely) with people you trust about how you're feeling.

I hope this gives you some ideas on how to best take care of your mental health during this time!

How are you coping during the coronavirus outbreak? What have you been doing to take care of your mental health?

Take care,

Courtney

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy through this scary time. Having anxiety and depression is hard enough as it is, much more when our world is facing something so massive. I believe our world is going to come a brighter place, and more peaceful. All we can do is put our manifestations into healing our world. today is the first day in a long time that I've had a positive outlook on this crisis or anything at all really. I hope I changed your perspective just a little. Love u all xxxxxx

I hope everyone is doing ok too! This is a really weird and stressful time, but we can all get through it. What really helps for me is making an effort to put down my phone and turn off my computer and just do things with my family. If I keep watching the news and scrolling on my feeds it just makes my anxiety even worse. Try to get outside for a bit if you can and talk to people either in you family or your friends about how you're feeling. It's important! emoticon heart

I’m getting more depressed every day. I am home all day by myself. My husband is still working at his office since he is essential personal . I can’t see my grandchildren or any other family members. I am exercising and staying away from the news. I hope everyone is doing ok. Difficult times.

Hope everyone is healthy and being safe during this time. I don't want to alarm anyone but, I just want to tell my story.

In mid August 2019 i was hospitalized. I had a fever, extreme cold then hot spells. Violent vomiting. Dizziness. Confusion. I didn't even experience any of these things while i was carrying my now 13 yr. Old daughter. I only vomited one time during my pregnancy only because i ate something bad 😕

While in the hospital i continuously asked why i was given all this medicine if nobody knew what was going on. After being there two weeks i had to leave so i could get my daughter ready for her first day of middle school. AND I WAS MET BY SECURITY GUARDS WHO INSISTED THAT I NOT LEAVE.

I WAS ADMITTED 8/18/19. I left on 9/03/19. Since then I've been contacted by so many doctors trying to get blood work from me. I honestly think i may have had this virus. I had never in my life been so ill.

I am currently getting mail stating the health dept. Is interested in speaking with me..since i changed my phone number.

All i wanted to say is please, please, be careful and safe. I have one child, we don't socialize very much. I'm a hairstylist but i only make specialized wigs for people with certain hair/scalp conditions. Etc....mostly kids who are battling any condition that causes hair loss.

I have very little contact with the public 😕 long story 😊 but i actually thought i was gonna die. Forgive me for making this so long. I just needed to let y'all know.

GOODNIGHT...🌙
