I know there are people who have bigger problems and issues that they have to deal with but I can't help feeling completely alone. I try to be grateful that my life isn't as bad as it could be but every day is a struggle to just get out of bed. I see so many people that have been through a lot in their life and who has more of a right to feel thIs way then I do. I just can't help feeling this way. I have been through some really hard times in my life but I know it could've been worse. So why can't I be grateful? Why am I surrounded by people and still feel like I'm a million miles away from everyone? I could just really use someone to talk too, anyone wanna talk? If you do please message me.

@Ashley1998 Hi Ashley1998, thank you for opening up with us. I think many of us can relate to how you're feeling.

Hi members, feel free to connect with Ashley1998. Have you ever felt isolated by your anxiety or depression? How do you deal with it? Do you have any advice or just some kind words?

It was suggested to me when I was feeling ungrateful to make a list every day of 3 things I am grateful for. If you can't think of 3 things that's okay too. Start with one thing. As for feeling alone, I totally understand and feel the same way.

@Ashley1998

My name is Lynne and I have had depression for 30 years what has helped is medication and therapy. It isn't for everyone and I don't like being on medication but depression is a disease that is a chemical imbalance where you don't produce enough serotonin. I am at a place in my life where I have friends that I go out with. You need to make time for you. Don't feel guilty. If you ever need to talk text me. Mental illness sucks but you can get better I did Good luck!!!

What helps for me, and it may sound childish and silly, but I swear it works at least for me. I treat every little thing I accomplish as a victory. Got out of bed today; WIN! Brushed your teeth? Dang it you’re on fire! A shower? Now THAT’S a victory today! Like I said it sounds silly, but it puts you in the mindset that you’re in control of your life and gosh dang it, you’re pretty good at it!
maybe that won’t work for you, but it’s a thought.
