Hello @britthaeg921, thank you for opening this discussion. Let me tag some other members who can possibly share with you.
Hi everyone, how are you doing?
If you haven't already heard of it, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is a rare type of inflammation around the brain and spinal cord that damages the myelin sheath. Its cause is not quite understood, but it often occurs often an infection and some of its symptoms are similar to those found in MS.
Are you familiar with ADEM? Have you or anyone close to you experienced it? Do you know if there's a link between it an pediatric MS?

@Courtney_J @britthaeg921 Oh wow I've never heard of this, but I can see how it could be related with the myelin sheath and inflammation. Are you or someone in your family going through this? I'm not even sure I was aware that pediatric MS was a thing. I'm so sorry, if so!
MS is hard enough as an adult, I can't even imagine what it's like for a kid.

Just two days ago I found out I was MOG positive. This is a new disease that was discovered two years ago. This disease resembles MS.
