Hi @naptnm, thank you for opening this discussion! We wrote an article a while ago about intermittent fasting that you may find helpful: Intermittent fasting and chronic illness: Everything you need to know!
Intermittent fasting can be a helpful tool to help one lose weight, but for diabetics it must be done carefully as any major change in eating habits could affect blood sugar levels. Make sure to ask your doctor if it's a good choice for you.
Has anyone else tried intermittent fasting? Has it helped you in any way - your diabetes, your digestion, your weight, your overall relationship with food? If you haven't, is it something you would be interested in trying?

I never ate breakfast in my pre-retired life. Normally did not eat anything until 3-4 O’clock. So don’t have any trouble not eating all day. My problem is and always has been a problem with eating til 8-9 O’clock and my love of ice cream
