Just a question ive been considering for some time is there a time where its finally ok to just give up on life because deep down you know its never going to get any better. How many years should a person wait and continue to keep trying before you throw in the towel

Tamral if you want my honest opinion it is never really "ok" to give up on life. I understand you are feeling poorly and things seem like they will never improve, I have felt that way myself many times. I am a paranoid sz and have voices that hunt me, stalk me, will follow me towards the ends of the earth saying cruel and hurtful things. Still I always find a reason to soldier on no matter what my disease decides to put me through, and that can be an awful lot. Look to friends, look to family, look to online forums if you have to, but it is never really "ok" to throw in the towel. I know it seems like a longshot but lately reading the bible has been helpful to me. If you are really considering a final solution to end your pain than I can think of worse places to look. I don't want to get into the reasons it has helped me, for fear of being called a Jesus freak or something, but feel free to branch out and at least try to find things that fulfill you.
