I had my prostate removed in Jan. My PSA is reading 9 so i begin radiation this week. I haven't had an erection since removal. And now w the injections of Firmagon and Lupron have lost all desire. I'm 63 and the thought of this being a permanent situation is very depressing.

Been awhile Jon. Just found out my PSA is going up again. But I’m done taking Lupron.

I'm 58 and just diagnosed with stage 2, 3+4=7 prostate cancer. I've been given so much information about treatments, it's overwhelming. I'm not sure which way to go. Surgery scares me because of the initial catheter for 1-2 weeks and possible incontinence and erectile issues. But they say that it can get better over time and might only be for the first 12 months or so. With radiation there might not be the incontinence or erectile issue initially but possibly down the road. But there is also the possibility of bowel issues. I guess I'm looking to see how others have faired after radiation or surgery. it's such a difficult decision to make.

Hey everyone,
I wanted to revive this interesting conversation to know your thoughts! 😊
For those who've had prostate cancer treatment, did you choose radiation or surgery? How did it affect your life afterward?
