I am a newly diagnosed diet-controlled type 2 diabetic. It is my understanding that processed snacks are not good for me. Still, what is the healthiest common protein bar that one would likely find at places such as pharmacies and service stations - if I had to buy one?

I’ve tried a few different protein bars while managing Type 2 diabetes, and what I’ve learned is that not all bars are created equal. It really helps to check the nutrition label—especially sugar content and carbs. Some “healthy” looking bars can spike blood sugar quickly. Personally, I go for ones with higher fiber and protein, and very low added sugars. Also, pairing a bar with a bit of exercise after eating makes a big difference for me.
