Some types of air cleaners can help reduce small, invisible particles like tobacco smoke, dust, or mist that could irritate the lungs or even worsen symptoms. That said, not all devices are effective for everything, and they don’t remove every kind of pollutant. Still, many people with chronic lung conditions say they feel a difference with regular use.
