I am suffering from facial wasting but I am getting a very hard time to get treatment and fillers. I am desperate.i am located in SE GA...

Anyone has suggestions?

Did you try ADAP or Department of Health. Research programs and places in your area that specifically deals with HIV. You should be able to get free treatment somewhere...Sorry to hear that. I'm all the way in Philadelphia.

Been there and done that, Sculptra and Radiesse have programs for this called Patient Assistant Program (PAP). Sculptra is difficult because you can never complete the form right because they just makeup excuses, Radiesse I have not tried yet. The problem is finding the right doctor that is approved to do the fillers. No one knows what I am talking about and they say it is for cosmetic reasons it is mmedically needed. So I am stuck in a loop. I just need help...

Can't knock it until you try it....I am a natural healer. Natural remedies kept me alive. I didn't even know I was sick until I was attacked by a dog and had to get tested. Now I make remedies to build my immune system along with my meds. Just foods and herbs. That's how anything works in life, you test it first. May work for you and may not. But I figure it's worth a try when you have nothing else and your seeking help. Take care

@Belto64 Hi Belto64, thank you for starting this discussion. Facial wasting can be very stigmatizing, I'm sorry you're going through this.

For those who may not know, facial wasting, or facial lipoatrophy, refers to the loss of fat under the skin on the face, and is often linked with HIV. The medical community have yet to reach a consensus as to what causes facial wasting, but debate whether it’s due to the HIV medications alone or a combination of disease and medication.

@Bettethanbefore‍ thank you for your responses, you mention some helpful resources and ideas.

Does anyone else know of any other resources in Georgia or elsewhere in the US that can be of help?
