I often have the mental state that I do not want to go outside... I am comfortable inside even if the day is nice. I also have the mental state that I do not really want to go to social events, etc.
The weird thing is... because I try to mask my depression... when people invite me to places or to go out for dinner, etc. for a date in the future, I will say yes, but then almost always cancel. The only way I may go is if the planning is the same day, I agree to go, and we go directly from work or something because once I get home I zone out and don't check my phone and will cancel everything.
Does anyone else struggle with this? Any advice?

@Hidden username have you spoken to this with your doctor? I am sure other members will offer their own insight as well.

I can totally relate to how you are feeling! I too mask my depression, but something to keep in mind is this saying. “ let your yes mean yes and your no , no.” This saying has gotten stuck in my head. Sometimes I will cancel but lately I will say yes to going out and I will force myself to go. I will get dressed and do my makeup to help me feel good and once I get dressed up I feel obligated to go out. However, after awhile of saying yes and cancellations plans in the past so much, I felt that it dispotend others while at the same i was only hurting myself more so cuz I was pushing everyone away. Now I go out but put on a fake smile. But going out does help you feel better and helps you forget negative emotions sometimes. And sometimes you end up being with a friend who understands you more then you ever knew and it can be encouraging for both you and your friend. It’s not easy go out or get out of the slump, so doing something that makes you feel better before you go out helps a lot. It’s can be anything’s. I hope this helps. I wish you the best.

Hey y'all, I so relate and I am 59! This morning I had to convince myself for 3 hours that I could make it through church this morning.
I agree with getting away from big pharma and going natural as much as you can i.e. accupuncture, message, therapy as well as food pesticides and cleaning products. CBD oil is the bomb and has really made a big change in my pain levels. I also force myself to get dressed, makeup and do at least 1 thing just for me each day. For 1 hour it's my time. I have also found that If I set alarms on my phone for everything so that I'm creating a schedule, I find I can "deal" with the unexpected things that come my way better as I feel like I have more control. I also give myself permission to "love" me and always try to do the right thing.
On those days when getting out of bed is a chore I remember to cut myself some slack and just keep going even if it's at a snail's pace.
Have a blessed day 🤗

@Hidden username what keeps you from wanting to get up? What do you attribute your depression to?
Can you please give me more information on your CBD? I hear mixed results? Did you feel pain relief immediately or did it take like weeks for you to actually notice it working?

@Hidden username Hey friend, I hope you are having a better day today. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you but my fingers don't want to cooperate today 😊.
I know my depression is from my Lupus.
What makes me not want to get out of bed? Most of the time it is due to the pain and stiffness of my joints and back.
I have actually have on my phone everything that I need to do for the day set as a reminder to go off like an alarm when something needs to be done. Now I'm talking about normal everyday things like making the bed. I have push myself daily. It is a constant struggle and some days brushing my teeth is a struggle. I also know that through my faith that God will get me through whatever or wherever I am.
Do you spend any time for yourself each day?
Are you batteling with depression? Would you like to talk about it? Do you know why you are suffering from depression?
If so, I'm here and if you are not comfortable talkng in public you could always private email me.
How long have you been battling depression?
Are you seeing someone about it and if so are you on any medication?
I'm going to say a special prayer for you that you will feel better and feel your real worth.
I'm glad you reached out. Keep thinking about things that make you happy and take care of you. You can't help others if you don't take care of yourself first.
Have a great weekend and I hope to talk to you soon.
God bless 🙏

@Hidden username Thank you Tiffany... you are so right! I have been trying to do that more. I actually did it last night. I got off work and had made plans to visit my cousin and his wife after work. I stayed late at work because I was wanting to give the excuse that I got off late so I was just too tired... But, when I got home I spoke to my significant other - who also strugggles with depression - and I knew I had to do it for her. I knew it would be good for us to go and so we did and yes I felt so great going out and just having a good time! I was a bit more tired today because we got into bed a bit later than usual, but you are right that it makes you feel better. Thank you for sharing with me.

@Hidden username hey friend, I hope my message finds you well. You asked me about CBD oil and I forgot to address. Sorry 🙄
I use 2 different companies.
Prana and Trulieve are the companies I use
Prana: U-Thrive is the product that I use $70.00, cheaper If it's automatic payment for each month. $60.00?
This company is from Co., I had the pleasure of meeting the CEO and his family and know they are the real deal. They have CBD products and I use their product called U-Thrive. Only 3 ingredients broccoli sprout extract, green tea and circumin, that's it and for me, I won't go without it. I have so much more energy and my over all mood is calm. It says on the bottle that you may not feel the benefits for 3 weeks. I started feeling a difference in 2 days and it just keeps getting better.
Trulieve:. CBD THC
I live in Florida and medical marijuana is legal. Trulieve has come out with a new product called Nano Tech and this new baby is an 8-1 ratio of CBD THC. They also have it reversed with the THC CBD 8-1. I have been using both for about 2 weeks now and I love it. I have found that I don't want to vape as much and that is wonderful because it is affordable $55.00 a bottle but their are 500 drops in each bottle which is a great deal.
I was on narcotics and decided I needed to change my view on my health care so I now use CBD and medical marijuana.
I hope this helps. If you are looking at other companies look for their lab tests, quality control and make sure the amount of CBD they advertise is what is actually in the bottle.
Hope to hear from you soon and let me know if you try these and what you think. 😄
Have a blessed day 🙏
