Hi. Thanks for starting question Somya. Sleep & depression. Whoa, double edged sword. Sleep is Crucial for All!! Yes, depression can mess up your Zzzzzzzz's. But, so can Lots of other things. Depression, as I understand, can appear in couple of ways: sleep too much, or not enough. Rather simplified, however, the gist of it. I have seasonal depression, Fall, Winter. With it, I suffer from sleep apnea & autism. Both the latter make sleep a challenge as well. I'm never well rested, I feel like I'm running on fumes (!). Try driving like that, as bad or worse than drunk driving. I'm only giving bare minimum of an answer, as we are all different. I take meds to sleep ( wish I didn't have to), & when sleep is elusive, I'll pop a melatonin or benadryl. Always groggy in morning, used to it, despite uncomfortable. At my age, napping is an option, I rarely do. Only work 1 weekend a month, coming up. Getting outside helps, to regulate my day/night rhythms. When snow flies, possibly this week, I find other ways to ne active. Even when it snows, I can drive my route. Again, driving while drowsy. I cope best I can. Sorry for too lengthy answer. Anyone else have thoughts? Holiday week, Stateside. Be safe!

Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing okay today.
When depression and sleep problems go hand in hand, figuring out the right approach can be confusing. Some say to stick to a strict routine. Others say rest as much as you need. But what works… and what doesn’t?
💬 What’s your experience been like?
Do you have a bedtime routine that helps, or do you let your body guide you?
What tips would you give to someone struggling to sleep through the night?
