Hi @Jennica I am so sorry to hear about your struggling.
I recommend you try phototherapy (light therapy). It works to a pretty good degree for most individuals. Your doctor should be able to tell you if for some reason he or she thinks you would not be a good candidate.
It worked for me. My pain was decreased, the redness was significantly less, and the plaques were less in size.

Have you ever tried methotrexate? That really helped me. I had a time where I felt I was in constant flares and like you, nothing was working. Doctor prescribed it for me and told me it was only temporarily to try and get things under control and then for me to continue the proactive measures I was taking (as you stated clean diet, alternative treatments, meditation) It helped a great deal! I want to say I was on it for about 4 months. I noticed it working within the first month.

I've tried methotrexate and it made it worse. Also, I'm not sure photo therapy would be good for me as sunlight tends to make it worse too. I welcome any other suggestions!! Thank you so much.

Have you read the book the plant paradox by Stephen Gundry? Food and specifically lectins are triggers according to Gundry. I've been able to prove this out in my own plaque, but I've not yet been able to reach full remission. I halted the progression and reset my clock by a few years, but I can't quite kick it. There is still clearly something missing. Has anyone else tried this approach? If so, have you found that last thing I need to do to finally get it into remission?

@Jennica I understand what you are going through. I deal with low self confidence and tend to not go out because I feel less of myself when I am swarmed by the burning sensations and inflammed skin.
I am on Humira, but can't say that I have great results with it... I still am suffering.

Hi @Jennica @psori!!pt @Marceloanderson @selano! @bluesfan!
Hope everyone's well and not affected by the coronavirus... I have to stay at home because of the Methotrexate (immunosuppressants) and I feel very depressed, stressed and lonely. How do you guys do?
@Jennica Did you feel better that the last time? Did you try something new?

@Jennica Hi Jennica, I'm sorry you're went through all that. At one point my meds stopped working and my doctor said I had probably worked up a tolerance to it and put me back on a previous medication and that helped. Has your doctor considered that? I hope you're doing better now!

I've tried everything & am on my 3rd different biologic but nothing has worked! I've lost so much hair I actually ordered a wig. My face is having a burn like reaction that is red & feels like it's going to peal off. This may be to my latest new biologic, Stelara. I've tried Humera & Otezla as well. I've tried every essential oil, changed my diet & tried every topical type treatment that I've red about including coal tar. I have zero friends & have become a prisoner of my apartment. The loneliness is killing me but I have no confidence to join a group due to my appearance now. I used to be considered beautiful. I've begged to God to help me. Maybe He'll work thru you & ill receive answers/suggestions that will work. Please help. Thank you so much.
