A treatment that is often not discussed or known is phototherapy or also known as light therapy.
It involves using ultraviolate light to the skin on a consistent basis.
Treatments are generally done in a doctor's office or clinic, but phototherapy home units are also available.
Have you tried phototherapy? What was your experience... Did you have any success?
Share with others and for those of you have not tried it, ask questions to those that have and read their experience.

I did light therapy for my psoriasis which covered me from head to toe. After 14 sessions it only made my red spots more angry looking. I understand this therapy makes things look worse before they get better though. However, since my psoriasis was also on my scalp, in my belly button and in my ears, aka places where the light can't penetrate, it never would've completely worked for me so I stopped the treatment before the recommended 20 sessions were done.

@larturi I haven't tried it and I don't think my insurance covers it. Was it expensive?
