@havefaithalways Have you tried an anti-inflammatory diet yet? Apparently there are foods that are known to cause inflammation in some people (like gluten, dairy, etc.), so if you eliminate those, it may help you. I stopped eating red meat last year on a whim and I saw a bit of improvement with my plaques.

I've been interested in this, especially with my PA. Has anyone found anything that works?

@Starke I can't really comment on my skin, but I try to follow an anti-inflammatory diet for my PA and I feel like between that and the methotrexate it's helped. It's really not a hard diet to follow, I cut out refined carbs (bread, pasta, etc), red meat, alcohol and basically all "junk food". I cheat a bit during the holidays and stuff and on a weekend here and there and once I do I can basically guarantee a flare up of some sort in my joints.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to bring this discussion back because many people with psoriasis wonder whether changing their diet could make a difference. While there isn't one eating plan that works for everyone, some people notice that certain foods seem to trigger flares, while others don't see any connection at all. Sharing personal experiences can help others explore what might work for them.
- Have you noticed that certain foods make your psoriasis better or worse?
- Have you ever tried changing your diet, such as following an anti-inflammatory diet or eliminating certain foods? If so, what was your experience?
- Besides medication, are there any lifestyle changes that have helped you manage your psoriasis or reduce flare-ups?

Everyone's experience with psoriasis is different, and what helps one person may not help another. Still, hearing about the approaches others have tried, whether successful or not, can be a great starting point for meaningful conversations with your healthcare team.
Looking forward to hearing your experiences!
Take care,

So if I remember correctly, when I was diagnosed my doctor said that diet doesn't affect the condition, or at least not in a way not that scientists can prove, but he also said a lot of other psoriasis patients say it does. Can anyone recommend any changes I could make to my diet to try to help? I've recently been trying to avoid dairy where I can for other reasons, but I haven't noticed a change.
