Does anyone else find that they can be filled with a bad temper - especially when you have not eaten anything for some time or BS is not as stable as desired?

What do you do to deal with it because I find that is affecting my ability at times to have patience with my family and I do not want to hurt my relationships even when I try to explain it with them?

@strngr1990‍ yes. I can get a bad temper or feel like I am going to unleash and it could be for the smallest things. I am sure I am worse when I have not eaten or my BS is low/high/out of wack, but I also feel like this dependent on my neuropathic pain and stress throughout the day.

I am scheduling an appointment with a doctor to see if this can be helped.

Anger/ temper is an issue. If I have not eaten, one should not be around me... I can become very mean and speak in a not soy demanor and just no have any patience - I have been even told this by family members.

I can get a little bit irritable if I’m not getting my food like on time. I have a schedule and if it gets messed up I get anxious about it. What helps me is I remind myself that you’ll eventually get the food and just have to do a later schedule.

@Mary123 That's a good way to think about it , but sometimes the irritability is overwhelming -

When my blood sugar level gets out of "normal" - more commonly when it drops - I do notice my emotions and feelings being impacted... I get angry or frustrated and anxious... I begin to kind of shake my hand because of anxiety. I think many people get this, even those without diabetes, but just not to such an extent that we experience.

Hi - new here. Yes I experience bad tempers when my BG becomes out of my normal ranges. I become more irritable, but I do not use it as an excuse. I try to control it as best as I can but I will let others aware after.
