Hello everyone, I had surgery late last year to have a tumor removed and when I'm fully recovered (still not quite there yet, I'm getting old haha) I might need more radiation to keep it from coming back. I'm wondering if I should put off my appointments and further treatment with this coronavirus panic since it's really hard on the immune system. I have a hard enough time breathing as it is, I'm afraid that any additional stress on my body will just be a "welcome" sign for the coronavirus. What do you all think?

@breathfree Hey breathfree. This was a bit ago, so I assume by now your appointments got rescheduled?

I'm doing ok. Staying at home with my family as our state has mandated. I should be fine since I've been in remission for a few years now, but my wife insists on going to the grocery store for me and running errands. I've just been following the recommendations and washing my hands and disinfecting the groceries when they come in. In her spare time my wife has been making masks, so that's keeping her busy. I've yet to find an activity that keeps me from ending back on the couch in front of Netflix... If anyone has any ideas I'm game!

I am doing well I go out to do treatment and they are so careful with this virus going around. I have surgery in May to remove cancer from my lung I thank God I am doing well enough to even consider surgery. I stay home my hubby has to work and he does the grocery shopping. I put my faith in God and also do my part to stay safe. Just remember this will pass it is temporary and know the nurses and doctors in Oncology are doing the best they can to keep us safe doing this time.

Hi everyone, it's been like a roller coaster ride with my emotions, but I'm thankful that I can talk

Zeldias it will be ok I will be praying for you I have surgery on May 19th for my lung cancer when I was first diagnosed surgery and chemo was not an option. So they started me on Ketruda and it help for about a year then was not as effective so they said chemo low dose lets try it. I went through the chemo and it help kill some of the tumor but not the main one. So now that it kill the small one I had they can do surgery I kinda did things backwards. I am here if you need to talk

Runningcats, thank you for your words of encouragement, I also have the cancer in my lung so they want to

try a new immunotherpy, which sounds good but its also has a down side because I also have myasthenia gravis

which means my immune system could attack itself, but I feel that this whole situation is in Gods hand. I will be

praying for you also, It's one day at a time, take care.
