Hello everyone,

How are you today? emoticon cute

As you all know, some of the symptoms of fibromyalgia (the pain, stiffness, fatigue, etc.) can be especially hard to handle during a long workday.

Has fibromyalgia had an impact on your professional life? If so, in what way? How do you manage? Have you stopped working because of it?

@Courtney_J This all started for me in the middle of my Master's. I had to take a semester off and then set up special "disability status" so that I could handle the work load and turn in assignments later without penalty. It's been hard. I try to set myself a schedule and give myself time to recoup between activities.

I worked for as long as I could with my fibro, but unfortunately I eventually had to transition to part time and then eventually early medical retirement. It was a hard transition, because I felt like I lost my purpose in life. If you can, I encourage you all to try to work for as long as you can!

The last 2 years I worked the pain was overwhelming. The fatigue would but around 2 I would drag through the rest of the day. I banked hours for vacation etc. The last year I worked.I missed 450 hours using almost all my leave. Like toomuchpain I feel lost not sure where I got anymore.
