Hello everyone,

How are you today? emoticon cute

For many of us, the lockdown has led us to pick up a few bad habits: snacking, binging a bit too much TV, and less exercise.

Now that the good spring weather is on its way, let's motivate one another to get back into shape!

How have you experienced the lockdown in terms of diet and activity? Are you ready to take part in our challenge?

What are you doing to get back into sport or exercise? What kind of sport do you do? How often do you do it?

Feel free to share any workouts, light recipes or ideas to get back into shape here!

Take care,

Courtney

OMG you said it this lockdown has made me put a few more pounds according to my Doc I am obese but I wear it well I used be SLIM now I am a HUSKY or obese but I wear it well or hide it well don't know which one any way yes sounds good I need to be motivated to do an exercise I have never liked it and never had to because I have always been slim I started putting on the weight after my heart attack I noticed my lifestyle changed dramatically after that day It left me with high BP, cholesterol, and tachycardia. Sad because it could have been prevented if the Doctors would have caught that clogged artery earlier.

It's so hard to get motivated to drop this extra weight b/c of the intense fatigue. I was thinking I should try some exercises in a pool.

Hi I walk every day. I am going to do yoga too. I try to block out a lot of TV. I just eat vegetables and try cutting back on junk.

That's great, I see lot of people working out. I try to stay active it seems to help my lungs, less phlegm. I never let this effect me though and it's gonna get worse cause there Not waiting long enough but hey whatever I'm staying home for different reasons.  I'm broke but sometimes it's better to just chill with your woman or friends anyway.  Stay safe everyone.  In my county there are are hardly any covid cases. Guess I'm lucky for that.

I have put on 10 pounds & its slowly coming off. We live in a nice area for walking, we have a dog who loves to walk with me. I haven't changed my way of eating, its been lack of exercise. Hope to do many more walks!!!

I 100% relate to this especially the binge watching of Disney + with my daughter and of course YouTube and Netflix. Although I may be dropping the Netflix.  Wishing so badly I can find a streaming service that I can find absolutely any movie I want,  such as Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (the actual movie, not the series) and especially Don Bluth films (Secret of NIMH, All dogs go to heaven, American Tail, etc)

Anyway the getting back into shape part is I suppose another plus of having an energetic toddler and a big back yard.  I can go outside with her and play and also chase her all over the house.  Although I feel bad because it seems she has infinite amounts of energy while I feel as I am constantly scraping by on fumes.

I have been working all thru this lockdown, so I have not had to worry much about gaining weight. In fact, I think I have actually lost weight because we are so busy at work that I don't have time to take a break. If you want to lose weight, work for the Post Office or any of the other delivery companies. We have so many packages now that we are constantly running back and forth from our mail trucks to the customers house with all of the packages. It  is almost like Christmas.
