Hi all,
Just out of curiousity what medications have you tried for Lupus and what has been your success in terms of the treatment as in regard to side-effects.
I have been on Plaquenil; however, I am getting recently an increase in hair loss, stomach pain, and I feel I am much more irritable now.
Has anyone tried Aralen? Do you continue steroids?

Hey members, does anyone have any input? Could be a good discussion where you can discuss Lupus medications and side-effects and how to cope with them, as I have seen various posts recently concerning this topic. Hope you do not mind me tagging you to bring this new discussion to your attention.

It's hard to try different medications and cope with them. I take 11 to 14 meds a day. Everyday is completely different for me. I started benlesta infusions 5 months ago and honestly idk if they are helping or not. Guess it's coming with time. Has anyone else been through the infusions,?

@Bkeilholtz thank you for sharing... do you feel each medicine affects you differently each day? Do you take the medicines at the same time and same order daily?

Hi mvn481,
I also experience some side effects with Plaquenil while others told me this med helped them to control their inflammation. Like you, I suffer from hair loss and dry eyes. I asked my rheumatologist already, he adjusted the dosage and told me to eat vitamin and omega3-s rich foods.

Hi everyone,
Have you seen this older discussion?
As you know, treatment for lupus tends to depend on the signs and symptoms you're experiencing. Typically treatment includes one or a combination of: NSAIDs, antimalarial drugs, corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, and biologics.
What treatments have you tried for your lupus? What has worked for you? Have you had to switch medications or treatments over the years? Have you had any side effects?
