What do you know about topical cream treatment for fibromyalgia? Have you or someone you know used them with positive results? Where do you stand on its use? Are there other potential alternatives that you could suggest?

Hey all,
I wanted to ask if anyone has had experience using topical creams for treating chronic pain. I am sick and tired of ingesting pill after pill after pill and would like another more relaxing option. Are there any good, reliable options that I hope do not have too many side effects? I am not very sure how they work. Can someone explain it to me please because I heard there are levels of intensity and whatnot that seem to go over my head.
Thank you
