Hello @Rheumandy12,
How are you feeling today?
I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and the struggles you're facing. It's so disheartening to feel unheard, especially when dealing with RA and fibro, on top of your slipped discs. Your feelings are completely valid.
It's unfortunate but not very uncommon to hear that experiences in pain management can sometimes be affected by things that shouldn't matter, like gender, and actual studies have shown that women's pain is often taken less seriously than men's, leading to disparities in treatment and care.
Thank you for starting this discussion and calling our attention to this issue. Let me go ahead and tag a few members to weigh in:

Hi all...today is a high pain day and unfortunately I got hardly any sleep last night. Not sure if I mentioned it but my new psychiatrist recently had me do a drug urine screen test and the CBD gummies I take at night to help calm my pain has showed up as THC in my urine. So she took away my anxiety medicine I need to sleep. Then when I saw my narcolepsy Dr on Mon she saw the urine test and is threatening not to renew my narcolepsy meds. I can not win. They both just pay me on the knee and say "work closer with pain management to get your pain under control". Like I haven't been trying!!!! So frustrated and disheartened right now.

Hi. Unfortunately there are too many addictions to pain killers and a good Dr will find anything else to help you so you don't become an addict.

@HelloKitty I started taking kratom when I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia, it means I have constant pulling of my neck and shoulder muscles. Botox is the primary treatment , 6 to 8 shots targeting muscles but its hit and miss. I told a friend about this and he told me about kratom, so I went to a kratom shop and talked to the owner. He learned I was an Army Veteran and sold me some capsules. Unbelievable the kratom knocked out the pain and relieved some of the spasms and pulling that was 5 years ago, and I am still taking it for chronic pain. I have found the vendors to trust and a fbook website to share experiences with others. Like all things kratom must be handled with common sense, and reading info on the web helps educate us all. IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS WITH MY CHRONIC PAIN

Yes I agree. Im on morphine and Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen and yours as well. I have some others also. If I want to work in the back yard, I am sleep mode if I set down. The next morning and at night is paying with great pain. Its a hard road in many ways. We have to keep going best as we can. Have a smile and good day to you. I have the stimulator too.

I recently got diagnosed RA and fibromyalgia. I feel like everyone does not believe how painful this is. My pain management Dr says they don't give pain medicine for my conditions. It is so frustrating. I also have 4 slipped discs in my neck, but he totally disregards my MRI. It's like RA and fibromyalgia put a halt on our appointment once he learned that. However, my family member, with the same condition, was prescribed medication. Might I add he is male and I am female. I feel like females are discriminated when it comes to pain.
