For the past few years I have had difficulty working out in the yard, and then in 2018 it got harder and harder to breathe. After many tests, it was a CT scan that showed Emphysema, and scarring in my lungs. I quit smoking 8 years ago, but the damage has been done. I got to a point I couldn’t catch my breath and was coughing so hard I thought the top of my head would blow off; nothing was really working to help my condition. Finally, I started on the COPD formula, and with the help of this treatment, I’m active again. Its effects on emphysema are amazing; all my symptoms gradually faded away. I breathe much more freely now and no longer need my oxygen cylinder! Visit Uinehealthcentre. net to get this formula. I'm surprised a lot of people with COPD/emphysema haven't heard of the formula.

For me the worst part of emphysema is that I can't lie down to sleep because I can't breathe in that position. So, I have to sit up and, of course, that doesn't make for restful sleep. I sit in my recliner chair as it's soft and cushiony, and I can push it back a little , just enough that it raises the footrest. I briefly doze off but don't sleep more than 10-15 minutes at a time (my husband confirms that) so, of course, I'm tired and sleepy all the time. I push through that, however, to get some household chores done like cooking and cleaning the bathroom, but my husband now does all of the vacuuming and floor mopping,

Can we be prescribed anything for the anxiety caused by shortness of breath (dyspnea)?

In order to deal with any anxiety during sob episodes, I try to focus on an object while concentrating on deep breathing exercises until it's under control. Works well for me. I'm a firm believer in no more meds than absolutely necessary.

Hello members,
How are you today?
I thought I would open this discussion today to talk about emphysema!
For those who do not know, COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is actually an umbrella term used to describe a group of lung conditions that block airflow and make it difficult to breathe. Emphysema and chronic bronchitis are the two most common conditions making up COPD.
Emphysema is a progressive disease of the lungs caused by over-inflation of the alveoli (air sacs in the lungs). So, a person with emphysema has COPD, but not everyone with COPD has emphysema.
So, what about you? When were you diagnosed with COPD or emphysema? How long have you had it? How are you doing today?
