Hi Carenity Members,

I am hoping that the community here at Carenity with Type 1 Diabetes will use this type of Diabetes.

Please post your story about living with Diabetes.

It could then turn into a useful part of the forum where new users, current users, family members, and caregivers could come to help you with information and support for those who are newly diagnosed with diabetes type 1.

Hello all.

For me, I wish people would understand the difference between diabetes 1 and diabetes 2 and understand I was born with this condition. It is very frustrating having diabetes type-1, the constant monitoring of bg, carbohydrates, insulin, etc.

Managing my diabetes is like a full-time job!

I know I'm super late to this topic but I agree with Judy. I am newly type 1 and it's so different. My mom has type 2 and its really hard for her to relate with me. I was diagnosed when I was 24 and my body completely changed, my life style, my thought on food and exercise on making sure I have insulin with me at all times. I literally never stop thinking about my glucose levels. I know this is bad to say but sometimes I wish I was type 2 so I can manage it better. Maybe even had the chance to reverse it.
