Depression is a common mental disorder affecting more than 300 million people worldwide. It is estimated that more than 17 million people living in the US have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder.

The symptoms of this disease have a significant impact on patient's daily life as they disrupt their normal day-to-day activities.

Have you ever tried journaling to cope with emotions? Do you think it helps? What was your experience with journaling like?

What do you think?

I have not tried journaling even though many have suggested I do it. I don't mind writing I just can't seem to be able to get in focus enough to get my jumbled mess of thoughts and emotions down on paper. As far as if it helps, I think it depends on the person, I'm sure it helps for some, but I am sure there are others who find no help in doing it.

Hello. I hope all are well. Another snowstorm on my doorstep. Ugh!! That's my depressed reaction. I have journalled. Some better than others. I like to write, having written & published a book. English was good subject for me in school. Kinda natural at it. Penning feelings isn't that easy for me. I can write about many topics but emotions, not so much. Facts & figures are easier for me to explain. Yet, everyone is different. Perhaps feelings flow more easily to others. Best wishes.
