Stay by his side. Consult a physician if the condition is serious. If medicine is ineffective, think about a spravato treatment.

I dont know if i should continue reaching out even though he is not responding or give him space. He said he needs to think about everything and that he needs time. i really am lost and depressed cause i miss him so much. I want to give him time but i also dont want us to drift apart. Im not sure how much time he needs but the uncertainty is killing me. Im feeling anxious about our future and whether he is going to stay with me.

@abdouglas I am sorry you are going through that and it is hard to say. People with depression tend to want to be alone, but it is not always the best medicine for us. However, anxiety is slightly different... and if it is anxiety of seeing you or perhaps going back to the real word after such a traumatic experience, it may send him to sensory overload.

Was he really close to his cousin?

Did he have depression or anxiety before this event?

What is the situation like now?
