Hello everyone,

How are you all doing today?

Depression symptoms can manifest at the most inconvenient times. It can be difficult to know where to turn when your friends are asleep, your therapist is unavailable, or your significant other is at work.

Depression hotlines, open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, might be a helpful resource to get you through, even if you have never thought about them.

There are several depression hotline numbers available to anyone in need across the country:

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) Helpline: 1-800-662-4357

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255

Samaritans: 1-877-870-4673

National Hopeline Network: 1-800-442-4673

Veterans Crisis Line: 1-800-273-8255

You might want to call a depression hotline if your symptoms are severe, you don't have any in-person support, you need objective, unbiased feedback, or other coping mechanisms aren't working for you. They can offer you the chance to discuss your symptoms and be a source of support. Moreover, they can make it easier to schedule appointments with mental health professionals.

These helplines can also send a crisis team to your house if necessary, which makes it crucial to have these numbers on hand in case you or someone you know requires emergency services.

Please take care and stay safe,

Somya from the Carenity team

So, who can provide my teammate valuable first step in seeking help and offer guidance on finding appropriate resources for ongoing support?

Could you please recommend someone who can help my teammate take the initial step toward getting help, and then point them in the direction of suitable resources for continuing support?
