@Millerm be there to support him. Can you try altering your diet to be similar to his? I think that would help the a lot, especially if you show a likening to that diet. Hey, it is kind of healthy.

Attend his doctor appointments. Support him.

All of these may seem fine consuming or difficult but are great ways to support him.

Thank you @diabeticsurv. I'm trying. Really hard. Lately my numbers have been higher than normal and I don't know why. I recently came back from out of town and wasn't eating right. I wonder if my body is trying to adjust??‍♀️

Perhaps.. I wish I knew the answer to that, but our number fluctuate even when we follow the same diet and same regimen, but all we can do is to follow that good regime and diet and stay on track as best as we can.

@Carrier I feel the same way. I've been diagnosed a little over 3 yrs and I still think about it. I even have people thatare not diagnosed try to tell me not to. Which irritates me.

Hi i am recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and I'm only 25 I am very sadden by this but doing my best I have brought my a1c from 7.2 down to a 5.4 in about a year and have lost about 45lbs. I am just wondering if anyone else experiences high blood sugar reading after eating. And what is considered ok.

The ideal is to have < 140 mg/dL 2 hours after eating.

@Carrier That's because your whole life HAS changed.  Diabetes is like full-time job all by by itself. And yes, once you get more experienced in taking care of yourself, you will stop obsessing over the numbers.  It took me a while, but I finally recognized that it's just a number.  I'm working hard at this, I'm trying to eat right, and sometimes, the numbers are going to be not where I expected.  Next time will be better.

@Jazz93 That's absolutely normal.  Some say <140, some say <180 after a meal.  As long as I'm close to 100 by my next mealtime, I'm satisfied.  I do sometimes test after a meal, especially if I ate something different or that I know I shouldn't have,  but I don't do it every day.
