Hi everyone,
About a year ago my doctor diagnosed me with Diabetes and he prescribed Steglatro. I immediately gave up soda and sweets. I went to a low carb diet and was careful about what I ate. At that time my a1c was 7.1. By February it came down to 6.6 and my bloodwork showed that I have an autoimmune disorder. However, he said that sometimes it shows up in bloodwork but it’s not accurate.
Part of the reason I went to my doctor a year ago is because I get shocks all over my body. They aren’t static shocks. They feel like electric shocks and at times are terribly painful. Also my feet hurt terribly at the end of the day and both of my hands often fall asleep at the same time and to the save degree. They are never not asleep, but sometimes it’s just mild. I have constant pain that feels like a burn on the sides of my right ring finger and middle finger. Both hands have become weak. Also when I tilt my head forward it radiates down both of my legs at the same time.
I’ve noticed that sometimes my brain is foggy and I frequently can’t remember even the simplest words. I find myself getting dizzy and almost losing my balance often. He prescribed Pregabalin for the shocks and it has helped a little bit.
i didn’t go to the doctor from February until a couple of weeks ago because I was feeling fine and I didn’t want to risk coming into contact with the virus. My a1c was about the same so he switched me to a plant based diet
Somy questions are:
Do other diabetics experience the shocks and the pins and needles in both hands and running down the legs when tilting the head forward?
Has anyone else had a false positive autoimmune disorder result on the bloodwork?
