I completely understand. I hate going out when I feel my depression has been triggered. I get home and look at my two beautiful babies and immediately a smile. Sometimes they just make me feel better but other times I take it so they won’t see me down. My two year old can sense mommy is sad so he will come up to me and give me kisses until I smile. It’s tough but maybe finding a hobby even if it’s on your own. Gardening can distract you from it. Hiking is also a great little get away from the world and keeps you healthy. Sending you blessings.

Hi again,
I often have the mental state that I do not want to go outside... I am comfortable inside even if the day is nice. I also have the mental state that I do not really want to go to social events, etc.
The weird thing is... because I try to mask my depression... when people invite me to places or to go out for dinner, etc. for a date in the future, I will say yes, but then almost always cancel. The only way I may go is if the planning is the same day, I agree to go, and we go directly from work or something because once I get home I zone out and don't check my phone and will cancel everything.
Does anyone else struggle with this? Any advice?
