Hi guys, Andy here

i was just talking to a fellow cancer survivor and she was telling me how they found her cancer "by chance." She was in China visiting her parents and decided to get a full body check up which includes all kinds of scans and blood test etc. Among all of these scans, they discovered a triple negative tumor. She I has no history of cancer in her family and never noticed any lumps. It was random that she discovered her cancer.

Just wondering if anyone else has heard stories like this? Its strange to think that sometimes you can be 'lucky' to discover cancer, but in these instances it can save their lives.

I discovered 5 days ago that some bloodwork done for my PCP showed "Pancytopenia": very low WBC, RBC, and Platelets. I just had an appt with the hematologist/oncologist, who informed me that I have AML. I have a Blood Marrow Asperation tmw., which will indicate treatment. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. My daughter is going to app'ts with me, as a 2nd pair of ears and for support. If it hadn't been for my PCP ordering routine bloodwork, we wouldn't know!

My husband’s was found after his family dr blew me off when I voiced concerns about a lump in his arm that had grown significantly in a short period of time telling me it was “just a Lipoma” I took it upon myself to schedule a general surgeon to remove it and she sent it to pathology where it was discovered he has Follicular Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma

Hello, My wife discovered cancer with a routine mammogram. We are very fortunate she went to the appointment and had the mammogram. We live in New Hampshire and have Dartmouth Medical Center for treatment. We are blessed for our outcome.

We advise mammograms for everyone! It could save your life.
