Hello,
What is the task that is the most difficult for you to do because of osteoarthritis?
Do you have any tips or advice for how to make the task easier for those that may also face difficulty with the same task?

@Lee__R walks are something that is very difficult for me due to the OA in my knees... mornings are the worst and made worse anytime after I site for some time and then get up or if I am walking in any long distance; however, also reaching overhead is difficult due to my shoulder pain in the right arm. To help with the shoulder pain, I have started to keep things at or below shoulder height. For my knees, when I need to walk long distances, I may use a cane; however, I can do it with breaks and the breaks I try to keep my knees a little less than fully extended. Definitely not bent.

@Lee__R @OAme11 My wife has OA in her knees too and walking and stairs are so difficult for her. We were considering moving somewhere that's all on one level so she wouldn't have to deal with the stairs, but then the virus happened and we've put a pause on that idea. We've started doing yoga together and she feels like it's helping with range of motion a bit, so that's a little positive point!

@JEdgar I wish I could get into yoga, I also have it in my cervical spine so it makes it hard for me to move my head and my upper back. I hope you are able to figure out a move soon!

Hi everyone,
I hope you're doing well. Have you seen this discussion?
Which tasks do you find difficult with OA? How do you overcome these obstacles in the day-to-day?

Well, I have osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. What's hard for me? At this point walking. I need surgery for my left hip and knee. I've already had a total hip replacement and knee on the right side. It's very hard to do anything at this point. I'm in chronic pain.
