Hello everyone,

I hope you’re doing well.

Type 2 diabetes can increase the risk of cognitive decline, raising the chances of conditions like Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. Research shows that managing blood sugar, staying active, and making healthy lifestyle choices can help slow down brain aging. 🧠

Have you made any changes to protect your brain health while managing diabetes?
Do you incorporate specific foods, mental exercises, or physical activity into your daily routine?
What strategies have helped you stay sharp and manage your health long-term?

Take care,

I exercise for at least 30 min a day: walking, running, stationary bike. I also do 15-20 min of yoga daily. In addition, for recovery I use an Omni pemf mat to help with circulation. It helps to keep me active.

I also try to learn new things. I'm practicing French on the Duolingo app and learning to play Majong. I have also been researching the uses of PEMF to improve health and started a blog about it at discoverpemf.com. I am recently retired so I probably have more time than those who are still actively employed to do all of this. I believe that at any point in your life, it is important to stay physically and mentally active.

I like to play Solitaire and Wordfill puzzles, and I try to get out and walk when the weather is agreeable. Not much this past week because we've had below-normal temperatures and snow.
