Diabetes and bypass surgery: What can I do to help my husband?

I really need your advice

My husband had a heart attack a years ago a few years ago and, at the time he had a stent put in and a treatment. He ended up with a stage 2 diabetes, he is not on insulin but he has a good cardio follow-up

But about 2 months ago he had a burning sensation in the esophagus, so we went back to the cardiologist. He underwent current electrocardiograms and an effort test which revealed a "slight anomaly".

To be safe, the cardiologist recommended a coronary angiography, with normally an angioplasty. He entered the clinic 15 days ago, the cardiologist we met told us that everything would be fine, that there would probably be a new stent placement, with perhaps an unblocking of the artery, but nothing else.

Except that the next day, the coronary angiography showed that there were 3 blocked arteries, including the main one, and that we had to undergo a triple coronary bypass.

Since then we have been living in fear, we were told that there were no symptoms before the operation because it was the diabetes that hid everything.

My husband is only 45 years old, I'm worried about our future and his health.
