Hi

I have diabetes, I'm over 55 and recently have had trouble preforming. I haven't yet brought this topic up with my doctor, I want to limit the number of times I need to talk about it. I figure I'd post here to see if this is a common symptom. Does anyone else have diabetes and erectile disfunction? How do you fix it?

Hi @sportfan365

How are you doing today?

ED can be a sensitive subject but as you have discovered, anonymous online community is a great place to look for information. I will tag a few other members to see if they have experienced similar diabetes symptoms.

@kskbkb @grandpapaul @travis.avery @dpaulovich @Agravatt @MoeinDC @daBee3 @James777 @CoreyS @chais18a @Doug_RVA @fabrizio1981 @Omards @Teejayinaz @Lili123 @ericpwork @JeffBlu @Jimmyj3636 @JohnTal @Pault26 @kevinc328 @civbat @GaryT1965 @Dogbone53 @joparker525 @Mark2384 @zrickman @Tanderson182 @Howardr1124

Have you experienced erectile disfunction due to diabetes? What other symptoms have you experienced? What has your doctor prescribed to help?

Take care,

Lizzi from the Carenity team

I also have diabetes and ED. Have not been able to fully "perform" for over 10 years. The ED pills worked initially, but now have absolutely zero effect. My urologist is absolutely no help at all. They did offer some experimental treatment with some sort of catheter introduced meds to be used prior to intercourse, but with no guaranty. My Primary Care said that the only thing to do was an operation to introduce an implant. I have also read about injections directly into the penis. All of these are very expensive and beyond my budget.

Good luck to you. To answer "how do you fix it", I do not believe there is any simple fix that is for everyone. The first step however, is to discuss with your doctor...

@Gordon Hi Gordon,

Thanks for sharing. I also suffer but have never asked. It's helpful to know about these options
